Celebrations & Events


The Pavilion Salle is situated on the upper floor of the Pavilion and is a panelled room has a warm and friendly atmosphere, with balconies offering beautiful views of the College and grounds and a full staffed bar. Set away from the main College buildings, it is completely self contained and can be used for any manner of events in conjunction with the grounds and excellent sports facilities around the College campus. Seated Meal capacity: 80, Drink Receptions: 120, Theatre Style: 80.

Entertaining Areas

The Old Library, built of red brick and Portland stone, is a wood panelled room with a vaulted ceiling. High-level arched windows let light flood into this private and tranquil room with excellent acoustics. It is licensed for civil wedding ceremonies and for these occasions its atmosphere is ideal. Notable dinners, concerts, lectures and family gatherings are all well suited to this intimate setting. Seated Meal capacity: 50, Drinks Reception: 150, Theatre Style: 130.

Entertaining Areas

The Christison Hall, with its imposing windows overlooking the College grounds, benefits from an additional upper-level dining room which may be used as a balcony area overlooking the spacious main hall. The canopied quad makes for an ideal al fresco reception area. Seated Meal capacity: 300, Drinks Reception: 400, Theatre Style: 450.

Historic Entertaining Areas

The Grade II listed Barry Buildings include the use of four versatile reception rooms steeped in character and history which comprise of:
• The Great Hall, located in the Grade II listed Barry Buildings, is medieval in style with a painted hammerbeam roof and impressive traceried windows, combines space with history and comfort. Seated Meal Capacity: 240, Drinks Reception: 300, Theatre Style: 480.
• The Lower Hall in the Barry Buidlings is an elegant reception venue with impressive columns and decorative plasterwork offset by stylish contemporary lighting in an eclectic mix of old and new. The imposing main doors of the Lower Hall open onto the front drive of the College with its magnificent wrought iron gates and manicured front lawns. Seated Meal capacity: 90, Drinks Reception: 150, Theatre Style: 120.
• The brick clad North and South Cloisters overlook the lush lawns and provide light and airy reception areas perfect for evening discos or seated meals with the feel of being outdoors. Seated Meal capacity: 120, Drinks Reception: 250, Theatre Style: 200.

The Trevor Bailey Clubhouse, is a versatile space located away from the main College campus, The clubhouse has a good sized hall, modern bar with late license and separate lounge overlooking the extensive grounds which make it the ideal venue for family parties, cricket days and corporate sports-days. Courses & Corporate


The George Farha Auditorium provides tiered seating for 240 that can be retracted to create a beautiful dining space with fully glazed doors leading out onto an expansive piazza. Seat Meal capacity: 120, Drinks Reception: 200, Theatre Style: 240.

The Laboratory, is a spacious, light filled, flexible event space with five adaptable Informatics suites with free-thinking spaces to stimulate creativity and a seminar room with full video conferencing facilities.
