Dance, Drama & Music

Dance Studio

There are two state-of-the-art dance studios with full mirrored wall and heated flooring which are ideal for dance classes, yoga sessions, and a number of other fitness groups. With wooden sprung floor and underfloor heating, equipped with ballet barres and a sound system they make a fantastic rehearsal space. The first floor dance studio can also be hired in conjunction with the forum to create a large open plan space for parties and celebrations. Dimensions: Width: 12m / Depth: 10m.

Historic Hall

With a capacity for 150 guests, this exquisite wood panelled hall, built in 1930, boasts original features including parquet flooring and a small turreted room. A versatile room for concerts, dinners, private functions. Equipped with stage lighting and in built display screen. Capacity: Theatre Style – 250 / Dinner- 100 / Standing- 220. Stage Dimensions: Width: 11m / Depth: 4.5m.

Theatre

The Performing Arts Centre is a modern space equipped for rehearsals, shows, recitals, competitions and productions. This purpose built venue is equipped with lighting, dressing rooms, a versatile stage space and fixed, tiered seating with a balcony. Capacity: seating for 200. Stage Dimensions: Width: 13.5m / Depth: 12m.

Sports & Fitness

Sports Hall

The Sports Hall is available to hire for a variety of activities – whether you want to simply hire a court to play a racquet sport or the whole hall for a new regular club or a one of event we have something to offer. It is marked out for various types of sports and activities, including: badminton (4 courts), basketball (6 baskets), and netball. Our sports hall can be used by different sports clubs, groups and individuals to meet any of their sports and activities needs! Dimensions: Width: 35m / Depth: 18m (approximately).

Dance Studio

Swimming Pool

Our 25m indoor swimming pool is a great opportunity for casual swimmers and learners. Members can enjoy specific and exclusive times to use the pool while at night and on weekends our pool is hired out to different local clubs who teach swimming lessons to all ages! With starting blocks it also makes a fantastic venue for sporting events and parties.

With a built in bar / kitchen area and attached to a beautiful terrace overlooking the school’s grounds it can be transformed to fit almost anyone’s needs. The Forum is situated on the top floor of the Morgan Centre in Queen Anne’s School and is a perfect space for seminars, meetings, parties and functions. Capacity: Theatre Style – 150 / Dinner – 120 / Standing – 150. Dimensions: Width: 12m / Depth: 10m.

Meeting Rooms

The Space is the perfect venue for training, workshops, seminars and meetings. It is equipped with breakout centres offering creative zones with different themes, 4 classrooms, interactive screens allowing users to project and control media from computers and mobile devices; walls coated with write-on projectable wallpapers; segmental tables and chairs that can be safely tilted forwards or backwards to straighten the pelvis and spine, improving circulation to the abdominal and back muscles.

Lecture Theatre

A practical space with lots of natural light and decorated with original artwork, the Elliot Lecture Theatre has fixed, tiered seating for 90. Equipped with computer, in-built projector and white board, this is a functional space ideal for meetings, presentations, seminars, training workshops, AGM’s and press conferences. Capacity: Seating for 90.

Classrooms

Outside of term time we have a large number of classrooms available for hire. Perfect for revision classes, educational training, workshops and meetings. Each classroom is equipped with computer, in built projector and white board. Capacity: Seating for approximately 20.

Accommodation

Queen Anne’s has 4 fantastic boarding houses on site set amongst the 35 acre campus, with the ability to accommodate around 220 students in total. With fantastic transport links to Reading town centre and direct trains to London, Queen Anne’s is a fantastic venue for residential stays during the school holidays. Each boarding house is equipped its own kitchen and laundry facilities and lounging area.

Accommodation

Holmes was built in 2011 and opened by Philip Schofield. The boarding house is able to accommodate 50 guests with a mixture of single and double rooms all with en-suite. Situated nearby the Morgan Sports Centre and next to the new Sixth Form Centre. Holmes has a platform lift for disabled access and includes 1 disabled en-suite bedroom.

Accommodation

Maddock is able to accommodate 70 guests with a mixture of single, double and triple capacity rooms and has shared facilities throughout. Opened by Dame Kelly Holmes in September 2012 this boarding house is situated next to Holmes house and the new Sixth Form Centre. Maddock also has a platform lift for disabled access and includes 1 disabled en-suite bedroom.

Accommodation

Michell is the only boarding house situated at the far end of the campus set amongst beautiful gardens. This boarding house is near to the swimming pool and tennis courts, perfect for the more active guest. Michell house was refurbished in 2012 and has accommodation for 40 with single and double rooms and shared facilities throughout.

Accommodation

Wilkins is situated on the main campus situated next to Maddock. Wilkins has accommodation for 60 with a mixture of single, double and triple capacity rooms with shared facilities throughout.
